Competitions almost never run on time, you may want to attend early so you don’t miss the girls.

Please drop off girl’s at 8:15 am at the NBJH GYM
Girls must all ride over to the competition together on the bus.

You will need to arrange transportation home from the competition for your daughter.

CHECK LIST

Wear your cheer uniform

You may want to bring a change of clothes

2. Wear your hair in a high pony, slicked back, no whispies, with your competition bow.

There may be a snack bar at the competition so bring $ if you want to purchase junk.

UPDATE FOR CLINIC @ AZ ALL-STARS

1. Our stunting clinic on Monday, 12/19 had to be cancelled. NO practice or clinic on Monday, 12/19

2. We have rescheduled the clinic for Saturday, 12/17 from 10:00 –12:00 (yes, 2 hours). I apologize for the Saturday practice as we normally try to schedule all clinics during early release days to leave weekends open for family time.

This will be a VERY busy day for the girls since we have so much to work on during the 2 hour session.

ü Bring extra water to stay hydrated

ü Bring your $10 to pay AZ All-Stars

ü Make sure you have your practice clothes, shoes and hair up and out of your face.

ü Girls will need to be dropped off a little before 10 am @ AZ AllStars and picked up around 12 @ AZ Allstars.

If you have already ordered your skirt from Omni I need to exchange it for you. At our first practice please bring me your skirt on Mon 8/1 and I will order the correct skirt for you. The new MATCHING skirt will be $3 more so please bring me $3 in cash to pay the difference.
If you have not ordered your uniform yet please order Item # 611SBM.

I would like to take a poll to see if any girls have an interest in possibly learning and competing a pom routine along w/our performance cheer this year.
If you are interested please let me know after you check w/ your parents to make sure they fully support this.
Keep in mind there would be extra practice times required and it would require additional money from each girl for choreography, music etc. (approx $50-$100 per girl).
This is only an option for those who may be interested.

SUMMER OPEN GYM IS CANCELLED

Hello Ladies!
Here is an update regarding open gym @ NB. The school is closing up for the summer so there will be no electricity in the gym. :( This means we will not be able to have our open gym time over the summer. I'm very sorry but hopefully everyone will be able to get together at AZ Allstars for either team tumbling on Tuesdays or open gym on Fridays.

Below you are going to find the info on how to order your game day t-shirts.

You may order your t-shirt anytime during the summer as long as you have it when school starts. If you would like to try on a t-shirt you can stop by Polka Dot Skull @ 323 S. Gilbert Road.

On Friday @ our stunting clinic I will have a t-shirt for you or your parents to see. I will also have business cards for each of you w/directions on how to order your shirt.

Meeting at the Horseshoe Equestrian Park on Riggs Rd west of Ellsworth at 9am

Parade starts at 10 am and should be over by 11:30 apx

Ends at Desert Mountain Park

Parade Route Heads west on Riggs to line up we are staging number 56, turns north on Hawes turns east on Ocotillo and ends at the east entrance of Dessert Mtn Park.

Girls need to wear cheer uniform and bring $4 for matching bows that the will be wearing at the rest of the games and at competition.

The girls are allowed to wear their hair down for the parade, however they need to have their bangs out of their eyes.

Please send a bottle of water. We will march rain or shine.

Please have pick up arranged with your daughter. I will not be able to stay at Desert Mtn Park after 12 noon. This is my family's Thanksgiving weekend and I will be leaving.

Point System from Constitution

ARTICLE IX. STATUS OF MEMBERS
A. Points or demerits will be used as a disciplinary tool.
B. Points will be given by the Coach. Points may be given for additional things, as the coach feels necessary.
C. Three points will be a warning
D. Six points will result in removal from a performance or a game.
E. Ten points will result in suspension for two weeks
F. Twelve points will result in dismissal from the team
G. If you are dismissed from the team for reasons other than academic eligibility, you will not be able to try out again for the Cheer Team.
H. One point will be given for:
a. Tardiness at any team event
b. Chewing gum while in practice or in uniform
c. Wearing jewelry to practice or in uniform.
d. Incomplete grade sheet
e. Not turning fundraisers when they are due.
f. Getting sent to “Sweep”
g. Inappropriate practice/performance uniform.
i. This would include any piece of the uniform. (Shoes, poms, ribbons etc.)
ii. This would also include inappropriate hair for practice or performance.
h. Inappropriate or wrong game day attire.
I. Three points will be given for:
a. Unexcused absence
b. Use of inappropriate language at practice ot while in uniform
c. Gossiping at practice or while in uniform
d. Student issued a referral or given ISS for any reason.
e. Public display of affection towards another person
f. Disrespect towards a Coach or team captain
g. Absence which would also result in removal from performance
h. No grade sheet or tutoring sheet
J. Six points will be issued for:
a. Missing a performance
b. Becoming ineligible during the season
c. Any behavior “unbecoming a school leader” as referred by your teaches. (cheating, behavior problems in class etc.)
d. Attendance at any “party” where there is illegal drugs/alcohol consumption.
K. The following violations will result in automatic dismissal:
a. Drinking alcohol
b. Drug use
c. Tobacco use
L. Suspension means not performing in any team function for two weeks
a. Unless instructed by the coach, suspended members must attend all practices and games and sit with the coach.
b. Upon resuming team activities, the member will become Alternate for one week and be ineligible to perform
c. After completion of the “Alternate’s Week” the member can resume regularly scheduled activities.
d. Twelve points, will result in dismissal from the team.
M. Any school detention or school imposed discipline will be frowned upon by the team
a. School detention, etc. will not be considered an excuse for missing team practice or scheduled activity. Tree points will be issued for such violation.
